    Monitor to see if someone has redirected your mail

    Know if sex offenders reside in your zip code, and ensure that your identity isn’t being used fraudulently in the sex offender registry

In 2012, tax data at the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) was compromised due to a security breach.

 

The State of South Carolina has partnered with CSID to provide eligible South Carolina taxpayers and businesses up to one year of CSID Identity Protection services for free. Individual taxpayers, their dependents, and businesses who have filed an electronic South Carolina tax return between 1998 and 2012, may be eligible for CSID’s Identity Protection service.

 

South Carolina Children

Children are covered, too
Your child or children under age 18 are also eligible for up to one year of state-provided Child Monitoring. With this product, you can be aware of all known addresses and aliases associated with your child’s SSN, and see if your child’s personal information is being bought or sold online. Once you enroll yourself, be sure to add your minor child or children to ensure your entire family is protected.


South-Carolina-Businesses

South Carolina businesses are eligible for protection, too
If you are a business that filed taxes electronically with the State of South Carolina between 1998 and 2012, you may be eligible for CSID’s Enterprise Threat Intelligence (ETI) service for free. This service enables a business to proactively watch for data compromise through monitoring for malicious devices and company credentials, and alerts you in the event that compromised data is found.

Eligible persons currently enrolled in Experian coverage do not have to wait for their coverage to expire to enroll with CSID.
