Award recognizes technological innovations that offer creative solutions to significant problems

CSID, the leading provider of global, enterprise-level identity protection and fraud detection, today announced the company’s proprietary VoiceVerified® technology has been named the 2011 winner of the General Motors Award in the Technology Medium Business category, by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented as part of the chamber’s 11th Annual Greater Austin Awards program.

The business community submitted 385 nominations for the Business Awards, the highest number of submissions ever. Of those submissions, 140 finalists were narrowed down to 20 award winners.

CSID’s VoiceVerified technology is a quick and effective approach to identifying an individual by using their “unforgettable password,” their voiceprint. VoiceVerified uses biometric technology to match a unique voiceprint to an individual, allowing for quick authentication and providing an additional layer of protection against identity theft and fraud. The technology is currently in use by businesses around the word for a number of applications including eliciting real-time responses via a mobile device for verification before processing suspicious transactions.
