Stratfor, the Austin security intelligence company attacked by Internet hackers last weekend, is working with an online identity protection company to help customers whose personal information might have been stolen in the incident.

Earlier this week, Stratfor, a publisher of intelligence analysis, was hacked by people claiming to be affiliated with Anonymous. In response, the company has taken a number of steps to assist their customers, including actively cooperating with law enforcement to determine who and how their computers were intruded upon.

Security firm Stratfor, which was hit recently by a massive hack, said it will provide affected users with free access to identity theft protection from CSID.
